This fabulous blender will let you cook on low, medium and high. It can saute, simmer or fully boil. This is an excellent soupmaker! You place all your ingredients straight into the glass jar without opening the lid. It cleans well and gets hot very quick. The soup I made was done in an hour and was kept hot until I needed it or turned the soup maker off. This is the best small appliance I have bought since buying the Cuisinart Keurig single serve coffee maker!

I have been waiting some time for this blender and cook soup maker when I found out that the Italian version cost at least five times as much!! This is a very affordable model from Cuisinart. It cooks and blends ingredients to give you a beautifully finished soup, sauce or what ever you need which requires the saute, cook and blend process.

The results for soup making has been fantastic. You need to prepare the vegetable by cutting them into small cubes but I found that it is quicker to slice them into paper thin pieces with a mandolin. This makes cooking faster and better.
I highly recommend it for families with young children and for soup lovers of all ages. Accompanying booklet gives several options of what can be done with this machine.
